HALLOWEEN 6 The Producer's Cut New Blu-ray Cover Art and Movie Clips

Lionsgate has announced that it is releasing a stand-alone Blu-ray of the producer’s cut of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, which was previously only available as part of Scream Factory and Anchor Bay’s Halloween: The Complete Collection Blu-ray box set. No word yet if any of the special features from the box set will be included. Look for the Blu-ray (sorry, no DVD release) on September 15th of this year for $9.99.

For those that don't know, the producer’s cut contains over 40 minutes of footage excised from the theatrical release, including an alternate ending, longer scenes in several parts of the movie, different music at times, as well as major plot point differences. If you’ve only seen the theatrical version, the producer's cut is pretty much a completely different film and well worth a look.

Here is a great article that compares the two cuts of the film: Collins’ Crypt: HALLOWEEN 6 - Producer’s Cut vs Theatrical Cut

  1. Not bad for 10 bucks. This was one of the big selling points for the box set so I'm sure the casual fan will dig into this!

  2. Yeah. I think it will sell well also because it's a better film than the theatrical cut and the plot makes more sense. I have the box set and I love it. It's my new favorite Halloween film from the franchise.

  3. The theatrical is way better then this cult crap where michael rapes his niece … its a mess and tested poorly so hence the reshoots and the much better theatrical cut. Its a nice release to have for completists
